Brandywine is bringing tenants back to the office of the future

Brandywine Realty Trust has been preparing for hundreds of its tenants to return to its trophy office buildings in areas such as Radnor, Center City and University City for months and, in some respects, even before the coronavirus forced companies to order employees to work from home.

The approach has meant addressing dozens of issues - most physical, but there are even psychological hurdles to overcome as employees return to offices. How does a landlord make tenants feel safe yet still comfortable? For Brandywine, finding that balance is an evolving endeavor.

With the onset of the coronavirus, the whole concept of office space has come under a microscope, creating, at least for now, more questions than answers. For Brandywine, which makes its business developing and renting out office buildings, preparing a safe space that comfortably brings its 1,200 tenants and their employees back to its buildings is high priority.
