Making a focused effort to support Black-owned businesses and get them access to affordable capital will help Philadelphia’s economy recover from the damage inflicted by Covid-19, business leaders said during a panel discussion hosted by Center City District last week.
"When you ask any small business owner what their No. 1 concern is, they will say affordable accessible access to capital," said Ron Busby, president and CEO of the U.S. Black Chambers. "But when you ask a Black business owner, they will say their No. 1, No. 2, as well as No. 3 concern is affordable and available access to capital."
