# How PhilaPort Is Helping Philadelphia Grow & Succeed - Watch the Video

PhilaPort, the port of Philadelphia, helps connect Philadelphia to the world’s shipping lines. One of the most productive ocean cargo facilities in America, PhilaPort is also among the fast-growing, achieving 12% compound annual growth in the last eight years. Find out how PhilaPort has been so successful in the last decade, what sets Philadelphia apart as a container port city, and what PhilaPort’s plans are for the future of Philadelphia’s success in “Ship Philly First!” (Notice a familiar face in the video? Brandywine Realty Trust CEO Jerry Sweeney is also chairman of the Port of Philadelphia.)

“The combination of the infrastructure investment by the governor \[and\] the commitment to cause that everyone who works at PhilaPort has, has really created the catalyst for future growth.” – Jerry Sweeney, president, CEO, and trustee of Brandywine Realty Trust and board chairman of PhilaPort
